Northwest Center - PLAYGROUND NEWS!!!!!

Holy Cross has received a grant to enhance our playground at the Northwest Center!!!!
We were awarded this grant from Head Start Body Start. The purpose of Head Start Body Start is to increase physical activity, outdoor play and healthy eating.
The three new items installed in the playground are:

*Bells*

*Free Standing Drums*

*Root Viewers*

Additionally Head Start Body Start will be providing Holy Cross with a Physical Activity Consultant. This person will provide in-person coaching and training. The consultant will observe, model and discuss strategies regarding physical activity and outdoor play. He/she will also make recommendations on how to maximize the use of the new equipment.

This is exciting news for us as we strive to increase physical activity and healthy eating in all of our centers.
