Holy Cross Head Start, Inc., a delegate agency of the Community Action Organization of Erie County, Inc., is one of the many Head Start pre-school programs serving children 3 and 4 years old and families throughout the country.
We offer comprehensive, holistic and supportive services to an ethnically diverse population.
The program began in 1965 as an eight-week effort sponsored by the Office of Economic Opportunity.
It was hoped that this brief experience would compensate for what seemed to be lacking in poor children’s development and education. Over the years, Head Start has developed into a full pre-school program.
