Mental Health/Disabilities Coordinator

Job Responsibilities:

Provides leadership and coordinates the disability and mental health services within the agency.

Coordinates and process all referrals coming from staff and parents.  Reviews referrals with appropriate service coordinators and  maintains follow up.

Assists in coordinating with the LEA's for students with disabilities and assists parents of children with disabilities prior to, during and after the CPSE evaluation process.

Maintains records and prepares reports of disabilities and mental health services as directed.

Qualifications: 

Masters Degree with three (3) years working experience with children having disabilities and challenging behaviors; knowledge of the CPSE process; work experience with low income families; previous Head Start experience desirable.  Must pass a physical exam, drug screening and thorough background check.  Must be able to work closely with children and families.
